Hi, my name is Patricia (Trish) Pierson and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am originally from the Pacific Northwest and recently moved with my family to the east valley in the summer of 2023.
I have been practicing counseling since 2013, predominantly in Washington state. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Washington, and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University. I have experience working in a variety of settings, including churches, youth programs, group practices, non-profit, tribal communities, and a juvenile detention facility. I work with adults, couples, families, and teens dealing with a variety of challenges. Some examples may include: depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, marital and family conflict, pregnancy and postpartum adjustment, and parenting challenges.
I am a member of the American Counselor Association, the Association for Child and Adolescent Counseling and the American Christian Counselor Association.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, attachment-based, holistic, and trauma-informed. Our work together may include exploring and processing experiences, building coping strategies, identifying personal strengths, working on healthy communication and relationships, in addition to other areas of personal and spiritual growth. The types of therapy I typically use include the following: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Gottman Method, art therapy and play therapy.
I am an active volunteer at Flatiron Church and am very passionate about this community. On my off days, I enjoy being outdoors, kickboxing, music, travel, and spending time with friends and family. I look forward to working with you! Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Hi, I’m Kristie and I’m an Arizona native. I love living and working in the Queen Creek community. My husband and I have been married for 20+ years and are raising our five kids on an acre of land that we share with an ever-changing assortment of animals. I hold a Master of Arts in marriage and family therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Grand Canyon University. Other things I love include Friday date nights, iced coffee, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and any time my kids are nice to each other!
I understand relationships to be incredibly powerful forces in our lives. They can be the source of our deepest joy and our deepest pain. But healthy relationships do not always come easily. Despite our best intentions, we inevitably experience tension, confusion, and conflict at different points along the way.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, it is my privilege to work with couples, individuals, children, and families as they navigate these challenging seasons of life. I would love to meet you, hear your story, and find out how I can help.
